The graduate program in Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science,  Faculty of Science,  Chulalongkorn University, encompasses both the Master’s and Doctoral degrees. Established since 1940 and 1967, respectively, these programs stand out as a premier institute for advanced mathematical studies in Thailand. Emphasizing the production of graduates with profound and applicable mathematical knowledge, moral integrity, leadership qualities, and a sense of societal responsibility, the programs foster analytical and synthetic capabilities.

          Known for the intensity of mathematical focus, the curriculum ensures a diverse yet sufficiently deep understanding for graduates to excel in research and apply their skills. The program continuously evolves to remain contemporary, marked by its distinctive feature of mathematical rigor. Moreover, the faculty comprises experts recognized nationally and internationally across various mathematical disciplines, providing a rich learning environment.  There are various research fields such as Algebra & Number Theory, Combinatorics & Graph Theory, Analysis, Probability Theory & Statistics, Mathematical Logic, Topology & Geometry, and Applied Mathematics.

          In pursuit of internationalization, the program has forged a Double-Degree Master’s Program in Mathematics with the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology at Kanazawa University. This initiative aims to facilitate collaboration between students and faculty from both institutions, enhancing academic and research strengths. This collaboration offers students a unique experience, allowing them to study and conduct research at both Chulalongkorn University and Kanazawa University. Furthermore, the program encourages collaborative research between the two universities.  We are looking for more Double-Degree programs in the future.  As part of its commitment to internationalization and academic excellence, the program offers diverse learning experiences that align with national strategies.
