Additional Admission Requirements

The following guidelines serve as part of additional admission requirements:

1. for Master of Science Program
   1. preliminary written examination encompassing the following subjects
      
      • Programming Techniques
      • Data Structures
   2. oral examination
           Every applicant must go through an oral examination which will take place approximately one week after the applicant has passed the written examinations.  The examination will be sanctioned by the Program Committee in the forms of an official interview.
2. for Doctor of Science Program
   1. preliminary written examination encompassing the following subjects
      • Discrete mathematics
      • Computer Systems Organization
      • Design and Analysis of Algorithms
      • Automata Theory
   2. oral examination
           Every applicant must go through an oral examination which will take place approximately one week after the applicant has passed the written examinations.  The examination will be sanctioned by the Program Committee in the forms of an official interview.
3. Within one year after admission, every student must have a thesis advisor in order to proceed with his/her thesis/dissertation prospectus.  While a student still cannot settle on a thesis/dissertation advisor, the Program Secretary will serve as his/her interim advisor.
